EURO 2000 PLAY-OFF RULES
TEAMS ALREADY QUALIFIED FOR EURO 2000 FINALS
Belgium and the Netherlands (as co-hosts), Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Yugoslavia.
PLAY-OFFS
Four teams will progress via the play-offs - the winners from the two- legged ties between Scotland and England, Israel and Denmark, Slovenia and Ukraine, Republic of Ireland and Turkey.
AWAY GOALS
In the event of an aggregate draw after both legs, away goals will count double in the play-offs. If the scores are level after both games and no team has an away-goal advantage, extra time will be played after the second leg. Should the tie still not have been decided by this point, the outcome will be determined with penalties.
Draw date for next year's finals: Sunday 12 December.
