Feyenoord have been fined a total of pounds 38,000 and threatened with suspension from European competition because of their fans' violent behaviour during the Cup-Winners' Cup quarter-final against Borussia Monchengladbach.

Paul Wilkinson, the Middlesbrough striker, has rejected a loan move to Portsmouth.

Scarborough have appointed a former player, Mitch Cook, currently with non-League Guiseley, as director of coaching, with the former team manager Ray McHale taking the title of club manager.
