Bint Salsabil is expected to run on Saturday in an attempt by connections to shore up her position as favourite for the 1996 Oaks. Sheikh Hamdan's filly is entered in the listed Sweet Solera Stakes at Newmarket.
John Dunlop trains Bint Salsabil, who is by 1989 Derby winner Nashwan out of 1990 1,000 Guineas, Oaks and Irish Derby winner Salsabil. The filly made a winning racecourse bow when taking a maiden at Ascot in June and was promptly installed as 16-1 favourite with William Hill for next year's Classic at Epsom. Dunlop's secretary Marcus Hosgood said yesterday: "She is a probable runner."
