Mario Zagalo, the Brazil coach, has named a squad that includes nine uncapped players for the country's first international since winning the World Cup. Six of the players chosen for this month's friendly with Yugoslavia - defenders Jorginho, Ald air, Marcio Santos and Branco, midfielder Zinho and striker Viola - played in the World Cup final against Italy in July. Beacuse of European commitments Romario, Bebeto and Rai have been left out.

Defenders: Jorginho (Kashima Antlers), Bruno Carvalho (Vasco da Gama), Branco (Corinthians), Roberto Carlos (Palmeiras), Ald a ir (Roma), Marcio Santos (Corinthians), Cleber (Palmeiras), Ricardo Rocha (Vasco da Gama). Midfielders: Dunga (Stuttgart), Cesar Sampaio (Palmeiras), Ze Elias (Corinthians), Flavio Conceicao (Palmeiras), Souza (Corinthians), Darci (Atletico Mineiro), Zin ho (Palmeiras).
