Leicester completed the pounds 760,000 signing of the Australian international goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac from Sydney United yesterday but he could miss the start of the season at Sunderland on 12 August unless Leicester can rush through his work permit which could take six weeks to come through. Their England Under-21 striker, Julian Joachim, has signed a new three- year contract.
Around 3,000 fans turned out yesterday to watch Jurgen Klinsmann in his first training session for Bayern Munich.
