Liverpool have rescheduled for Wednesday 20 November their derby with Everton, which was postponed on Sunday because Anfield was waterlogged.

Carlo Mazzone, the former Cagliari coach, returned to the Italian Serie A club yesterday, replacing the sacked Uruguayan Gregorio Perez. Mazzone was dismissed by Roma at the end of last season to make way for the Argentine Carlos Bianchi.
