Newcastle United have agreed to loan Jimmy Crawford, the former Republic of Ireland Under-21 midfielder, to Rotherham United for a month.

Gary Chivers, the former Chelsea, Queen's Park Rangers and Brighton defender, has been appointed player-manager of Worthing. Their former manager Barry Lloyd, who spent seven years as manager of Brighton, has rejoined the Icis League First Division club as football consultant.
