It's the biggest thing that you can dream of. I'd say it's the same as winning the European Cup.

Marc Overmars Arsenal goalscorer.

This is unbelievable ... no one thought us capable of it. This is the best moment in my sporting life. My players have shown quality. It is your dream always when you work together to achieve something like this. You believe in the players and I would say they did well - they surprised me as well. They had their chances; Alan Shearer's shot hit the post and came out. On another day, in another season, it would have gone in and that was the turning point. I express my thanks to the fans of Newcastle who applauded us.

Arsene Wenger Arsenal manager.

It's a fantastic moment, a great feeling. I just feel a bit sorry for Newcastle because their fans have been fantastic.

Tony Adams Arsenal captain.

This just surpasses anything that we've done in the past. Winning the League was brilliant but winning them both together is fantastic.

Lee Dixon of Arsenal.

It's just a testament to the players who have come into the team. They've adapted to Arsenal's type of game superbly.

Nigel Winterburn of Arsenal.

Nicolas [Anelka] was brilliant up front today, he's always a constant threat; you just have to put the ball near him. Marc Overmars scored a great goal. But it was just a great team performance.

Ray Parlour of Arsenal.

He [Parlour] has been absolutely brilliant this season. His energy, his ability on the ball has just been a revelation. He's been tremendous.

Pat Rice Arsenal's assistant manager.

I just told them one team has the best of first halves sometimes. But they [Newcastle] are good players. They believe they're good players and were able to go and show it in the second half.

Kenny Dalglish Newcastle manager.

I will sit down and plan for next season but maybe I will take 48 hours first and take a small breather. It is not over. We have a feast tonight. I am prepared to stay.

Wenger considers the future.

Talking to Arsene about staying at Highbury is top of the agenda. I mentioned it to him about a month ago but he said he didn't want to do anything until the FA Cup final. Every chairman's dream is to win the Double. Winning the Champions' League would be fun, too, and Arsene will certainly have the money if he needs it.

Peter Hill-Wood Arsenal chairman.
