Fifa, the governing body of world football, is considering a request from the Australian Soccer Federation to impose a worldwide ban on the Aston Villa goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich, following the player's withdrawal from the squad to play Canada in a World Cup qualifier in Edmonton on Saturday.
