Football: Incisive Ipswich show up Swindon
Swindon Town 1 Ipswich Town 4
IPSWICH TOWN moved to the top of the First Division with a convincing win at sorry Swindon yesterday. George Burley's side came from a goal behind to earn a deserved victory which moves them above Stockport in the table on goal difference.
Swindon opened the scoring when Giuliano Grazioli's shot went in off the underside of the bar. Just before the break Ipswich equalised when David Johnson rounded Frank Talia before finding the net.
The Suffolk side took the lead soon after the interval when a cross from Jamie Clapham reached Richard Naylor, who turned and shot home.
Swindon presented Ipswich with a third goal when the defender James Williams lost possession on the edge of his area and Naylor gleefully rolled the ball past Talia and into the net. Johnson added the fourth when he shot into an empty net after Talia had saved a low drive from Fabian Wilnis.
