Football: Morley's early goal puts QPR on the slide
Queen's Park Rangers 0 Reading
Trevor Morley headed in his 22nd goal of the campaign to set Reading on course for their second away win of the season at Loftus Road last night.
QPR, sliding away from the play-off places, were dreadful, and to make matters worse, they had the defender Karl Ready sent off in the 55th minute when he lashed out at Reading's player-manager, Jimmy Quinn.
Morley took only 84 seconds to get his name on the scoresheet when Darren Caskey's free-kick found him unmarked in the six-yard box, and he put away a crisp header.
With Ready off and having to chase the game, QPR were caught on the break four minutes from time when Andy Bernal swung in a cross which Danny Maddix headed into his own net.
