OXFORD UNITED continued their climb away from the First Division relegation zone with a deserved third win in succession at Carrow Road yesterday.

The Canaries, on an unbeaten run of seven matches before yesterday, looked well on their way to extending that run when they took the lead after only three minutes through Craig Bellamy.

Oxford equalised after 34 minutes with Brian Wilsterman's first goal in English football. The second came from Dean Windass from a few yards out, while Andy Thomson hit the third just after the interval.

Goals: Bellamy (3) 1-0; Wilsterman (34) 1-1 Windass (45) 1-2; Thomson (48) 1-3.

Norwich: A Marshall, Kenton, Mackay, Grant (Russell, 81), Fleming, Jackson, L Marshall (Forbes, 62), Bellamy, Roberts, O'Neill, Adams. Substitute not used: Watt.
