Football: Proposal to liquidate Roma

COVISOC, Italian football's financial watchdog, yesterday proposed to the Italian FA that it should begin procedures to liquidate Roma, who are reported to be pounds 30m in debt, for 'serious financial irregularities'. Brescia and Atalanta have had their grounds closed for one game and two games respectively following fighting among fans last Sunday.
