"My Grandad took me to the last game of the 1974 season, against Luton. I've been hooked since. I've got a season ticket and go more than is strictly good for me. We've not been much cop for about 10 years, but those few years at the end of the 70s, with the Three Degrees and Big Ron, was the best. There were so many highs, beating Man U 5-3 at Old Trafford one of them. The 1978 FA Cup semi defeat against Ipswich at Highbury was terrible. I managed to cry all the way back to the Hawthorns. A high point was the play-off final at Wembley against Port Vale. Of a 50,000 crowd, 42,000 were Baggies. We won 3-0, and couldn't believe it. We didn't know how to celebrate, so we just walked down Wembley Way, lamenting."
