GARY McALLISTER is back in Coventry City's first team squad for the first time in almost a year. McAllister missed the World Cup after failing to recover from a knee injury he originally sustained against Leicester at Highfield Road back in November last year. But the former Leeds midfielder may even start this game. Gordon Strachan, Coventry City's manager, could also have Darren Huckerby back after his recent knee injury, but David Burrows is out with a hamstring strain.

Benito Carbone hopes to be back in contention for Sheffield Wednesday after a lengthy lay-off with an ankle problem. His return would be a boost for Danny Wilson, the Sheffield Wednesday manager, who is struggling up front with the absence of Paolo Di Canio, and Andy Booth and Guy Whittingham both struggling to recover from injuries. With Petter Rudi and Scott Oakes also doubtful, the new pounds 75,000 midfield signing, Danny Sonner, is set for his debut.
