Wally Yip, 44, who runs a dry cleaning business in Metairie, Louisiana, has been selected at random to take part in a contest at Palo Alto's Stanford Stadium on Monday. If he kicks a ball 15 metres through a 1.2m-diameter opening, he wins dollars 1m. 'I have been in a state of shock,' Yip said. 'Andy Warhol said that everyone gets his 15 minutes of fame and my time has arrived.' He is having some tips from Kyle Rote Jnr, a former US national team player. 'I hope Kyle has some good pointers for me,' Yip said. 'I've never really played soccer, but for a million dollars I'm willing to learn fast.'
