ASTON VILLA yesterday agreed to sell their Yugoslav international striker Savo Milosevic to Real Zaragoza for a fee of around pounds 3.5m.

A Villa spokesman said: "We are waiting for various administrative details to be tied up but we expect everything to go through."

Brian Little, the former Aston Villa manager, is set to take charge at Stoke this morning.

Manchester United may be interested in signing the Argentinian striker Gabriel Batistuta, who wants to leave Fiorentina, according to his agent. "There are a lot of people interested, like Roma, Parma, Real Madrid and Manchester United," his agent said yesterday.

The Burnley player-manager Chris Waddle has parted company with the Second Division club by "mutual consent". Oldham have appointed Andy Ritchie as their new manager, while Keith Stevens is to take up the reins at Millwall after 16 years with the club as a player.

Next Wednesday's European Cup final between Juventus and Real Madrid could be moved from Amsterdam because legal limits on noise will prevent extra flights being laid on for fans.

England's World Cup group rivals Colombia may have to travel to France without Carlos Valderrama, who owes nearly pounds 20,000 in unpaid French taxes from when he played for Montpellier in the 1980s.
