It’s safe to say that Burnley and Leeds have two very different ways of approaching football when it comes to their respective styles of play. Both effective, both pleasing in their own ways.

But so far this season neither of them have enjoyed the satisfaction of a Premier League victory, with Leeds earning one draw and Burnley yet to get off the mark.

Many pundits and punters have tipped Sean Dyche’s side to struggle this season as they attempt to punch above their weight yet again. This match is an opportunity to silence some of those doubters.

Meanwhile, Marcelo Bielsa’s men are the neutrals favourite team to watch and will almost certainly deliver entertainment at Turf Moor. Whether they can turn that enjoyment on the eye into a victory remains to be seen.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match.

When is the game?

The match kicks off at 2pm on Sunday 29 August at Turf Moor.

Where can I watch it?

The game will be shown live on Sky Sports Premier League from 1pm and Sky Sports Main Event from 2pm. If you’re not a Sky customer you can grab a NOWTV Day Pass here to watch without a subscription.

What was the team news?

The only injury concerns for Dyche and Burnley remain the pair of Dale Stephens and Kevin Long who are continuing their recoveries from ankle and knee injuries.

Robin Koch is the only player sidelined for Bielsa’s Leeds as he remains out with a groin problem.

Confirmed line-ups

Burnley — Pope; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee(C), Taylor; Gudmundsson, Brownhill, Westwood, McNeil; Wood, Barnes.

Leeds — Meslier; Struijk, Llorente, Cooper; Phillips, Rodrigo, Ayling, Dallas; Raphinha, Harrison, Bamford.

Odds

Burnley: 21/10

Draw: 5/2

Leeds: 5/4

Prediction

Burnley have struggled for goals so far but will undoubtedly get chances against a Leeds side who love to leave the back door open. With that said, Leeds did the double over Dyche’s men last season and this is the perfect opportunity for them to build on an entertaining draw with Everton. It promises to be a hard-fought game that could well end all square. 2-2.
