AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has again pledged his future to the club after renewed speculation linking him with Chelsea.

The 49-year-old is under contract at the San Siro until the end of next season and Ancelotti insists that his preferred option is to remain in charge of the Rossoneri.

He told the Gazzetta dello Sport: "My wish is to remain at Milan. That is, as long as we finish third to qualify for the Champions League.

"I just work and I don't pay attention to these whispers. I still haven't found a good reason to leave Milan. I am happy here and I will stay for a long time yet.

"However, while I am happy to stay here I have always stressed that it takes two to keep the marriage going.

"As long as we secure third place and Champions League qualification for next season I am ready to stay.

"Then we can build a great future around Kaka and Alexandre Pato. We have solid foundations, so we won't need to make sweeping changes."

Meanwhile, Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has laughed off rumours linking David Trezeguet with a summer move to Chelsea.

The France international is contracted to the Turin-based club for two more seasons and is going nowhere at the end of the current campaign, according to Cobolli Gigli.

He said: "Trezeguet will not leave Juventus. An offer from Chelsea? I am not aware of this."

The 31-year-old has endured a nightmare season, suffering a groin injury in the first half of the season and struggling to regain a starting spot since his recovery.

Internazionale defender Maicon faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after sustaining a serious leg injury while on international duty.

The Brazilian's season could be over, according to the Serie A club's doctor.

"I spoke with Brazil's chief doctor during the night. Unfortunately, he confirmed that Maicon has a serious injury in his right leg," Inter doctor Franco Combi told Inter's official website.

"We agreed that Brazil's doctor will take care of the player until his return to Italy in about ten days' time.

"When he returns to Milan we will do further tests to see how the injury is, and then proceed with a rehabilitation programme."

Maicon was injured in the first half of Brazil's 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw in Ecuador on Sunday.
