Anthony Martial will be definitely be able to play in the Champions League for Manchester United this season.
Doubts were raised when United signed the 19-year-old on deadline day whether he could play in Europe for United this season, as he has played for Monaco in their Champions League play-off against Valencia.
But Uefa Champions League regulation 42.07 states that "a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the Uefa Champions League or Uefa Europa League is entitled to play in the Uefa Champions League or Uefa Europa League for another club as from the group stage."
So there you have it, the £36m man can play.
The French forward says he is "excited" to sign for the Premier League side, while manager Louis van Gaal says has "great potential",
"I'm so excited to join United," says Martial. "I've always wanted to play in the Premier League and look forward to meeting my team-mates."
