STAR PLAYER

Luis Suarez: Like most of his team-mates, he was not at his rampant best for much of the contest - he did not need to be - but the former Liverpool man laid on the first goal for Neymar before flashing home a memorable strike of his own.

MOMENT OF THE MATCH

Luis Suarez: The volley which won this game on the night and ended any lingering hopes of an Arsenal upset was worthy of winning this fine competition. The Uruguayan watched Alves' cross onto his foot, acrobatically contorting his body to send a rocket past Ospina.

VIEW FROM THE BENCH

Wenger made a few big calls, but the inclusions of Elneny and Iwobi were at least justified. If his side could have taken one of their early chances he may have been left thinking what might have been - although he may now be left casting an eye back on the whole campaign with the same expression.

MOAN OF THE MATCH

Per Mertesacker said after FA Cup defeat at Watford that Arsenal needed to find their killer instinct. It was still missing here. They broke at Barcelona often enough - especially at 0-0 - but ter Stegen had a largely untroubled evening,
