Cagliari appoint Roberto Donadoni as manager
Cagliari have moved quickly to name the former Italian national team coach Roberto Donadoni as their new manager.
The news comes just hours after the Sardinia-based side parted company with Pierpaolo Bisoli.
Cagliari have lost their last two home games to Napoli and Genoa and are currently 17th in the Serie A table, just two points ahead of rock-bottom Bari, and have won just two of their opening 12 games.
Donadoni played for AC Milan between 1980 and 1990 and coached Italy from 2006 to 2008.
The 47-year-old has also coached Livorno, Genoa and Napoli, being axed by the latter 13 months ago.
