Harry Kane: Champions League was there for the taking for Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur have been drawn alongside Bayern Munich, Olympiacos and Red Star Belgrade in Champions League Group B.

Spurs reached the Champions League final last season, losing 2-0 to Liverpool in Madrid, and will be hopeful of going one better this time around.

Their staunchest opponents in the group stage will undoubtedly be Bayern Munich. Bayern, the Bundesliga champions, won the tournament in 2013 and have reached the last four in six of the last eight seasons.

Spurs will also play Greek Super League runners-up Olympiacos, who thrashed Russian side FC Krasnodar 6-1 in a qualification play-off.

Red Star Belgrade, who beat Young Boys on away goals to reach the group stage, round off the group.

The Serbian side will prove tough to beat at their home stadium, where they last season beat Liverpool 2-0.

October 1: Bayern Munich (h)

October 22: Red Star Belgrade (h)
