Chelsea kick-off the Champions League last-16 with a trip to Paris on Tuesday as they take on Paris Saint-Germain in a repeat fixture of last season's quarter-finals.

With the Blues aiming to secure a second Champions League title and a third European crown in three years, they'll be quietly confident of coming through the tie against the reigning French champions.

Shakhtar Donetsk host Bayern Munich in the other fixture of Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, German Bundesliga side Schalke take on reigning champions Real Madrid as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Co look to continue their formidable run in the competition that stretches back to the start of last season's campaign.

The side that effectively knocked Liverpool out of the competition, FC Basel, host Port on Wednesday.

Next week sees two of the most hotly contested matches taking place in Tuesday, with Premier League side Manchester City welcoming Barcelona to the Etihad Stadium. The two sides met at this stage last season, with Barcelona winning 2-0 in Manchester before triumphing 2-1 at the Nou Camp.

The other match of the night sees Italian champions Juventis host struggling Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, although they have found their best form of a difficult season in Europe this term.

On Wednesday 25 February, Arsenal entertain Arsene Wenger's former club Monaco at the Emirates. The Gunners have found the going tricky in recent years when it's come to the knockout stages, but they face their best opportunity to progress in the tournament for some time.

The final first leg of the round sees Spanish champions Atletico Madrid take on German side Bayer Leverkusen at the BayArena.

After a week off, the matches are repeated at the seeded clubs stadium, with Tuesday's matches rotating with Wednesday's as the only change to the schedule.
