Champions League: Galatasaray v Manchester United match preview
A look ahead to this week’s Champions League fixture at the Turk Telekom Arena
Sir Alex Ferguson has not taken Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie, goalkeeper David De Gea or veterans Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs or Paul Scholes to Turkey with qualification and top spot in Group H already secured.
Ferguson has taken a young squad, giving some of his junior players the taste of a very unique foreign atmosphere.
Ferguson described United's visit to Istanbul in November 1993, to face the same opponents in a different stadium to the Ali Sami Yen, as the single most intimidating atmosphere he has ever endured.
