Ahead of the Europa League quarter-final between Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool, we've picked out nine match facts from Independent Football Live, our free football app.

  1. Jurgen Klopp took charge of 319 competitive games as Dortmund manager, winning 180 (56.4%).
  2. At Westfalenstadion, Klopp won 96 of his 155 competitive matches in charge of Borussia Dortmund (61.9%)
  3. This will be the fourth occasion that these two sides have met in a European fixture, with the previous history being even (one win for both sides and a draw).
  4. Dortmund failed to score in their last two European meetings with Liverpool; both in the 2001-02 Champions League group stages; 0-0 at home, 0-2 away.

  8. This will be the 18th time that Liverpool have played a European away game in Germany (incl. East Germany) – they have only won two of their previous 17 trips (D9 L6).
  9. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored seven goals in his last seven Europa League appearances for Dortmund.
