Eden Hazard booed off: Chelsea fans vent their frustration during Champions League defeat by PSG after shirt-swap

The Blues were 2-1 down and destined for European exit at the time of his withdrawal

Eden Hazard caught the ire of the Chelsea fans during their Champions League tie against PSG - the Belgium winger was booed off by some of the Blues faithful.

The 25-year-old has been in woeful form for the Premier League champions this season, scoring only two goals in all competitions, and none in the league.

Hazard, who has been linked with a move away from Chelsea to the French champions all summer, had earlier angered the Blues fans by swapping shirts with Angel Di Maria at half-time.

The in the 77th minute, with the tie seemingly out of Chelsea's grasp with them 2-1 down (4-2 on aggregate), Hazard was replaced by Oscar.

Speaking earlier this year, Hazard said about PSG's interest in him:

"It is difficult to say no to PSG, or to any of the teams capable of winning the Champions League," Hazard told Le Parisien in February.

Was caught out of position for Rabiot's goal, but made a last-gasp clearance to deny Di Maria in the fifth minute before making several other key blocks later in the game.

Left Ibrahimovic with too much space and time to send in his cross to Rabiot, who subsequently scored. He did well going forwards but struggled defensively in an unfamiliar position.

Made some key tackles when needed to stop some of PSG's attacks - one of which resulted in a yellow card - while linking up well with his teammates. But could have done more to stop the ball that found its way to Di Maria in the build-up to PSG's winner.

Booked for a first-half foul on Motta, the Spaniard had a few good moments in attack but could not dictate the pace of the game.

Superbly helped create Costa's goal after linking up with Willian while he impressed several times going forward but also worked hard to track back and defend too.

Began the move that led to Costa's goal after winning the ball off Motta, and was generally impressive. He remains Chelsea's stand-out performer of the season even if he couldn't get on the scoresheet due to Trapp's heroics in goal.

Started the game off well - testing Trapp on a few occasions, but ultimately failed to dominate Chelsea's attacking play. Was booed off by a section of the home fans in the second half.

With Chelsea trailing 1-0, the striker remained calm and composed to level the score with a fine effort in the 26th minute. Was a constant menace for PSG's defence and could have gotten more goals but saw his game cut short through injury.

"PSG are now in that category. And for me, winning the Champions League is my main aim."
