La Liga again dominated the Fifa/FifPro World XI once again as eight players from Spain were named in the team.

The Premier League had no players in the 11, with just one each from Germany's Bundesliga, France's Ligue 1 and Italy's Serie A.

Luka Modric was probably the biggest surprise on the team sheet, and even though he plays for Real Madrid there are plenty of players who may think they are more deserving of a place in central midfield.

These two Tweets perfectly summed up the players who were named in the side, which was with a pretty unanimous shrug of the shoulders
