Gareth Bale strikes twice in Real Madrid's win over Sevilla
Gareth Bale responded to his critics by scoring the first two goals for Real Madrid against Sevilla in La Liga.
The Welshman, who has struggled to make an impact since his £86m transfer from Tottenham in the summer, put Carlo Ancelotti's side ahead in the 13th minute. Karim Benzema played a neat ball across to Bale, who controlled the ball and curled it into the top left-hand corner with his stronger left foot.
The 24-year-old found the net again 14 minutes later before team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo scored from the spot in the 32nd minute. Sevilla fought back through goals from Carlos Bacca and Ivan Rakitic, with the score 4-2 to Real at the time of going to press.
