Jadon Sancho scores cheeky Panenka penalty in England training

Jadon Sancho broke a new Bundesliga record when he scored in Borussia Dortmund’s entertaining 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig on Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old – who has been linked with a move back to England in recent weeks – assisted Julian Brandt in the first-half and then scored what he thought was the winning goal, finishing from close range to give Dortmund a 3-2 lead.

However, the teenager was then withdrawn injured moments later, with Leipzig’s Patrik Schick grabbing a late equaliser.

It was not all bad for Sancho, though.

His goal saw him become the youngest player in the history of the Bundesliga to score 22 goals, surpassing the record of former Stuttgart and Borussia Mönchengladbach striker Horst Köppels, which had stood since 1968.

Sancho moved to Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017 and enjoyed a breakthrough 2018/19 campaign, scoring 13 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.

He has made an even better start to the current campaign, scoring 9 times in 14 Bundesliga appearances so far.
