Barcelona squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Sevilla, letting Real Madrid pull within two points of the La Liga leaders.

Lionel Messi and Neymar both scored stunning goals to give Barcelona a 2-0 lead just after the half-hour at Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium. Ever Banega pulled one back in the 38th minute and substitute Kevin Gameiro scored on the counterattack with six minutes to play to keep Sevilla undefeated at home in 32 games.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 38th goal of the La Liga season to spark a 3-0 home win over Eibar as Real Madrid rested players for the Champions League match against Atletico on Tuesday.

Ronaldo outwitted Xabi Irureta with a bouncing free-kick over the wall in the 21st minute, the goalkeeper initially moving the wrong way. Chicharito, the Mexican striker who is on loan from Manchester United, marked a rare outing with the second in the 31st minute and Jese Rodriguez made it 3-0 in the 83rd minute of a one-sided game.

Atletico dropped two points at Malaga in an exciting 2-2 draw but stayed in third place, seven points behind Real. Antoine Griezmann scored both their goals.
