Tonight in the Europa League, Liverpool host Villarreal at Anfield in the semi-final second-leg as they aim to avenge the 1-0 deficit from the first leg.

For the tie not to go into extra-time, the Premier League side need to win by at least two goals.

A 2-0 win for the Reds puts them through to the final, as does a 3-1 or 4-2 victory. A one goal victory other than 1-0 that forces extra time, though, would see Villarreal advance on away goals. A 2-1 Liverpool victory, for example, means a 2-2 aggregate scoreline - but will send Villarreal through because of the away goal.

"If we play our best then we can go to the final," said Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp before kick-off. "These players gave me a lot of positive signs about their qualities.

"We are ready. All we did since October was to be perfectly prepared for a game like this. We are not expecting a guarantee to go to the final. We are expecting everything and see what we get for it."
