We run the rule over United’s impressive performance
Manchester United thrashed Club Brugge to seal progression to the Europa League last 16.
Brugge made a positive start but any hope they had of pulling off a famous victory was seriously dented when defender Simon Deli was sent off for handball in the box.
Bruno Fernandes converted the penalty and Odion Ighalo then scored his first goal for the club.
Scott McTominay added a third before half-time, with Fred rounding off the victory with two late goals.
The 6-1 aggregate victory sees United follow Wolves into the next stage of the tournament. Here are our player ratings.
