Manchester City have had the perfect start to the season.

Their new manager Pep Guardiola has guided them to a 100 per cent winning start in the Premier League, with their most recent victory coming in a thrilling 2-1 victory against rivals Manchester United.

Guardiola's men will be full of confidence when they take on Borussia Mönchengladbach on Tuesday night.

Gladbach, meanwhile, come into the game having lost 3-1 to SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga, their first defeat this season.

It’s a big game for…

Former Barcelona goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, who got off to a shaky start as Manchester City's goalkeeper. The 33-year-old was at fault for Manchester United's goal on the weekend, when he failed to catch a high cross and Zlatan Ibrahimovic pounced.

All eyes will now be on the Chilian, who will have a lot of pressure on his shoulders not to make another blunder.

Best stat…

Borussia Mönchengladbach spent a total of £25.08 million in this summer's transfer window, making a profit of £13.26m on their transfers. Manchester City, on the other hand, spent £181m making a total loss of £162.48m.

Remember when…

City came back from 2-1 down to beat Gladbach 4-2 in the Champions League group stages, grabbing top spot off of Juventus in Group D.

Player to watch…

Sergio Aguero. The Argentine missed out on Saturday's clash with rivals Manchester United because of his three-match ban for elbowing West Ham's Winston Reid at the London Stadium.

Despite still being banned in the Premier League, Aguero is allowed to play in the Champions League and it will be hard for Guardiola to leave out his best player.

Past three-meetings…

Manchester City 4 (Silva, Sterling 2, Bony), Borussia Mönchengladbach 2 (Korb, Raffael)
Champions League, December 2015.

Borussia Mönchengladbach 1 (Stindl), Manchester City 2 (Demichelis, Aguero)
Champions League, September 2015

Borussia Mönchengladbach 3 (Bruns, Kulik, Del’Haye), Manchester City 1 (Deyna)
UEFA Cup, 1979
