Samuel Eto'o to appeal against headbutt ban
Internazionale will appeal against the three-match ban Samuel Eto'o has been handed for allegedly butting Chievo's Bostjan Cesar at the weekend.
The Cameroon international has also been fined but Inter are unhappy with the ruling.
A statement on the club's official website read: "FC Internazionale communicates that it will prepare an appeal against the ban inflicted on Samuel Eto'o.
"The sports judge inflicted a three-game ban and Euros 30,000 sanction on the striker."
Eto'o was caught by TV cameras butting home defender Cesar in the chest, but Inter boss Rafa Benitez defended his player after the game, saying: "You can see he got punched and was provoked. He reacted this way and lost control.
"It's a shame, but there are four officials on the field and, if they didn't consider it to be an incident worth acting on, then clearly that's their opinion."
