Tuesday

Manchester United v Braga (ITV1, 7.45pm)

The unfashionable Portuguese side have been unpredictable, losing at home to Cluj, then winning at Galatasaray. They won at Birmingham last season, but if United's defence is tighter than against Cluj it should be a home win.

Shakhtar Donetsk v Chelsea (Sky Sports 4, 7.45)

John Terry will presumably return amid his domestic suspension, with Chelsea confirming that he will retain the captaincy. Like Shakhtar they have four points but will have noted how the Ukrainians held Juventus 1-1 in Turin. There will be much interest in the highly regarded Shakhtar's attacking midfielder Willian.

Barcelona v Celtic (Sky Sports 2, 7.45)

Celtic's astonishing last-minute win at Spartak Moscow with a goal by Georgios Samaras means this is now a meeting of the top two in the group. Three points ahead of Benfica, Celtic must hope to claim something from their double-header while the other pair take points off each other.

Wednesday

Arsenal v Schalke (Sky Sports 4, 7.45)

Schalke's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, the first player to score at the Emirates (for Ajax), is due to return for the first of the two games expected to decide who wins Group B. Montpellier did Arsenal a favour by scoring a late equaliser in Germany, so Arsène Wenger's side hold the advantage.

Ajax v Manchester City (Sky Sports 2, 7.45)

A young Ajax side have been beaten by Dortmund and Real Madrid and are resigned to being the outsiders in a tough section. City, with only one point from the same two opponents, must maximise their return from these next two matches or face the possibility of Europa League football.
