Nine-man Rangers crashed out of the Champions League last night after being held 1-1 by Malmo in Sweden following a 1-0 defeat at Ibrox last week.

Steven Whittaker and Madjid Bougherra were both shown red cards, before the home side's Ricardinho was also dismissed by the Russian referee. Nikica Jelavic cancelled out Malmo's first-leg advantage with a 23rd-minute volley but Jiloan Hamad's goal with 10 minutes to go took the Swedes through.
