Ronaldo scored two goals in the last four minutes to earn Real Madrid a 2-2 draw against Dynamo Kiev in their final Champions' League Group E match last night.

The Ukrainians were cruising to victory following a first-half double by Uzbek striker Maxim Shatskikh before Ronaldo fired the first from close range off a David Beckham corner in the 86th minute, then added the second with an 88th-minute penalty.

The match was played in a nearly empty 83,000-seat Olympic stadium. The Spaniards finished second behind the group winners Lyon on 11 points to qualify for the next round.

Lyon drew 1-1 with Steaua Bucharest last night after conceding their first goal at home in the Champions' League this season.

In the second minute, the Steaua midfielder Nicolae Dica scored his fourth goal of the competition, chesting the ball down on a cross by Sorin Paraschiv and volleying home. Ten minutes later, Alou Diarra equalised with a header.

In Group H, Lille beat an already-qualified and understrength Milan 2-0 last night and advanced to the last 16 of the Champions' League for the first time in their history - thanks to goals from Peter Odemwingie and Abdul Kater Keita.

Lille finished second in Group H with nine points, one ahead of AEK Athens, who drew 2-2 at Anderlecht. Milan won the group with 10 points.
