Chievo winger Federico Mattiello suffered a horrific injury in the 0-0 draw with Roma on Sunday, breaking his leg in a sickening collision with Roma midifelder Radja Nainggolan.
The incident happened in the 19th-minute when the pair went for a loose ball. Some of Mattiello's team-mates appeared to be in tears on the bench after the 19-year-old fractured his tibia and fibula.
The draw kept Chievo six points clear of the relegation zone.

Roma have now drawn eight of their last nine matches, and coach Rudi Garcia was far from impressed.
"This draw is different from the other ones," the Roma coach said. "It's an unsettling draw.
"We played poorly, everyone was just standing around. I didn't recognise my team.
Roma's Twitter account showed compassion for the stricken player.
