Premier League round-up: Liverpool and Chelsea maintain 100% record

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe wants his side to show the right mentality when they face MK Dons in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.

The Cherries are unbeaten across their first three Premier League games and now face League Two opposition in the cup.

Howe is set to make changes for the visit of Paul Tisdale's men but still expects his second-string to keep up the standards the first team have set so far.

"The onus is on us to show a good attitude tomorrow night, these games are difficult if you're not there from a mental perspective," Howe told his pre-match press conference.

"We will give players opportunities - it's been tough to pick the squad. Now this is an opportunity for people to grasp."

Howe's rotation should see summer signings Jefferson Lerma and Diego Rico get their first minutes of the new campaign.

Midfielder Lerma, a £25million club-record signing, has been building his fitness and was an unused substitute against Everton on Saturday, while left-back Rico has completed a three-match ban.

With Howe planning to fully utilise his squad for the tie, England internationals Lewis Cook and Jermain Defoe will hope for action having been restricted to substitute appearances so far.

Forward Junior Stanislas (knee) and midfielder Kyle Taylor (muscle problem) remain out.
