FA Cup fifth round draw: Chelsea are set to play Man Utd

FA Cup holders Chelsea will face Manchester United on Monday night after the match was moved by television broadcasters, handing United fans another difficult journey home for the second successive round.

After having their 3-1 fourth round victory over Arsenal moved to a Friday night, United fans face another evening trip to London after the match was selected by the BBC for live coverage at 7:30pm

Watford will kick-off the weekend on Friday 15 February as they face the winner of League One leaders Portsmouth and Championship side Queens Park Rangers, who meet in a replay next Tuesday after their 1-1 draw last weekend, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45pm on BT Sport 2.

Saturday’s early kick-off sees Frank Lampard’s Derby County on the road at either Brighton or West Bromwich Albion with the match due for a 12:30pm kick-off, while the day’s evening encounter sees Bristol City or Shrewsbury take on Wolverhampton Wanderers. Both games will also be shown on BT Sport 2.

Sunday’s 4pm kick-off features Doncaster Rovers and Crystal Palace at Keepmoat Stadium, which will be BT Sport’s final match of the round, before Chelsea and United take centre stage on BBC One on Monday night in a rematch of last season’s FA Cup final.

However, unlike the fourth-round weekend, United fans should be able to travel back on the same night as the match – albeit in what will be a late finish. The last train out of London Euston departs at 11pm, giving fans a limited amount of time to make the 30-minute trip north from Fulham Broadway station to London Euston to catch the last train back north.
