Tonight in the Capital One Cup fourth-round, Manchester City take on Newcastle, Stoke City face Southampton and Tottenham meet Brighton.

They will hope to join Bournemouth, Chelsea, Sheffield United, Liverpool and Derby in the fifth round, after they all won their ties last night.

City, the current holders, will aim to bounce back from their 2-1 defeat by West Ham on Saturday against Newcastle - who fought back to win 2-1 at Spurs at the weekend.

Spurs themselves face Sami Hyypia's Brighton, who have failed to win in their last six matches in all competitions.

Brighton’s last win competitive win came in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Against Newcastle United on Sunday, Tottenham’s Harry Kane made as many touches in the box in six minutes against Newcastle (4) than Emmanuel Adebayor managed in 83 minutes.

Roberto Soldado’s last competitive goal came in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

Spurs have created 9.2 chances per game in the Premier League this season, down from 11.55 they created per game last season.
