Wayne Rooney has a brilliant record against Arsenal, which he made even better in their most recent meeting.

Not only had he won 17 and drawn six of 30 matches against the Gunners prior to the FA Cup quarter-final at Old Trafford, the Manchester United and England captain had scored 13 goals in those games.

In the 29th minute at Old Trafford on Monday night he added to that tally with a diving header to make it 14 - seeing Arsenal join Aston Villa as the team he's scored most goals against.

Famously, Rooney scored his first League goal against Arsenal, announcing himself as a teenager of huge talent with a brilliant 30-yard strike that beat David Seaman, crashed against the underside of the bar and bounced in.

Rooney scored a hat-trick when United humiliated Arsenal 8-2 at Old Trafford in 2011 and scored the crucial second goal at the Emirates back in November.
