1966 World Cup winner, who died in July, is honoured in the new film
Finding Jack Charlton, a new documentary reflecting on the life and career of the World Cup-winning England defender, is set for release this week.
The film, honouring Charlton following his death in July at the age of 85, is directed by Gabriel Clarke – the film-maker behind Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager, Steve McQueen: The Man And Le Mans – and Pete Thomas (Adam Hills: Take His Legs).
The documentary features interviews with numerous key figures from Charlton’s career, as well as his family.

When is its release date?
Finding Jack Charlton was screened in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 6 November, but its release on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital platforms comes on 23 November.
How can I watch it?
As well as being available to purchase on DVD and Blu-Ray, the film can be streamed and downloaded via Amazon, Apple TV and the Sky Store.
How much does it cost?
Amazon lists the Blu-Ray at £12.99 and the DVD at £9.99, as does HMV.
On Apple TV and the Sky Store, the film is listed at £9.99.
Who features in the film?
The documentary features key figures from Charlton’s career, with contributions from his family, including wife Pat and son John. Various figures from the world of football, film, music and politics also speak, including Andy Townsend, Paul McGrath, Niall Quinn, David O’Leary and Packie Bonner, U2 drummer Larry Mullen Jr, politician Bertie Ahern, comedian Brendan O’Carroll and more.
