Bristol Rover's heroics in beating Everton on penalties on Wednesday have been rewarded with another chance to upset the Worthington Cup odds after the Second Division club were drawn at home to Sunderland for the third round in the week beginning 30 October.

There are five all-Premiership ties, with the pick of them being Chelsea's visit to Liverpool.

After being one of seven clubs granted a bye because of European involvement, Manchester United start their campaign at Watford.

The holders Leicester City will be confident of starting their defence with a home win over Crystal Palace, who had to rely on the away goal rule to sneak past Burnley in the previous round.

Last year's beaten finalists Tranmere will have to rediscover the knack of beating top-flight opposition if they are to return to Wembley, starting with a home tie against Leeds.

Sheffield is gearing itself up for a derby after Wednesday and United were drawn to meet each other at Hillsborough.

The other all-Premiership ties see Arsenal play host to Ipswich, Coventry travel to Southampton and Newcastle entertain Bradford City, while Manchester City face a tricky trip to Aston Villa.

Middlesbrough go to Selhurst Park to face Wimbledon while Stoke, who beat Charlton of the Premiership in the second round on away goals, play host to Barnsley.

Derby await the outcome of Norwich's second round second-leg match with Blackpool as they prepare for a home tie, while Fulham will host Grimsby or Wolves.
