Championship round-up: City go back on top after late Orr leveller
A late Bradley Orr equaliser preserved Bristol City's unbeaten record last night and took them back to the top of the Championship after a 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion. The visitors had taken the lead in the 74th minute through Robert Koren. "That's a massive point," said City manager Gary Johnson.
Two Andy Reid penalties in the last five minutes moved Charlton up to third as they beat Norwich 2-0 at the Valley, while Nigerian midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha impressed on his full debut as Hull City won 1-0 at Wolves. A 49th minute penalty from Dean Windass, on as a substitute for Caleb Folan, settled matters at Molineux.
A 90th minute goal from Stephen Clemence took Leicester City through to a Carling Cup third round fixture with Aston Villa, the Foxes prevailing 3-2 at Nottingham Forest in their rescheduled tie. The original match was abandoned when Leicester's Clive Clarke collapsed in the dressing room at half-time.
