Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Gary Megson as manager on a three-and-a-half year deal, replacing Alan Irvine.
Megson had two spells at the club as a player during the 1980s and is reunited with club chairman Milan Mandaric, whom he worked with at Leicester.
"I am delighted because Gary Megson is a top-drawer manager," Mandaric said.
