Plymouth Argyle have been given a winding-up petition by HM Revenue & Customs. The League One side were presented with the petition last month, and have been summoned to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice on 8 December. The Pilgrims were previously issued with a winding-up order over unpaid tax last season.
The club yesterday said they have been holding talks with former Leeds United chairman Peter Ridsdale over a potential investment deal. Argyle say Ridsdale is one of many interested parties, but admit they have held "exploratory discussions" with the 58-year-old.
