Premiership stars Pape Bouba Diop and Henri Camara helped Senegal come from behind to beat Guinea 3-2 and book an African Nations Cup semi-final against hosts Egypt, 4-1 victors over Democratic Republic of Congo.

Kaba Diawara had put Guinea ahead in the first half but Fulham midfielder Diop equalised for the 2002 World Cup quarter-finalists on the hour before strikes from Mamadou Niang and Wigan's striker Camara made the game safe and Pascal Feindouno then scored a last-gasp consolation.

Egypt, who had the not fully-fit Tottenham striker Mido on the bench, ran out comfortable winners in front of a capacity crowd in Cairo. Two goals from Ahmed Hassan, one a penalty, and others from Hossam Hassan and Emad Moteab ensured the hosts progressed despite their opponents giving themselves a chance seconds before half-time when Abdelzaher El Saqqa's own goal made it 2-1.
