Albania

Etrit Berisha - 5

Made the wrong decision in coming off his line for Switzerland's first goal.

Elseid Hysaj - 6

Provided some great delivery at times and relatively solid

Lorik Cana - 3

Two yellow cards and a sending off severely unsettled his side. Poor.

Mergim Mavraj - 7

Despite losing his partner at the back, Mavraj kept it together fairly well at the back.

Ansi Agolli - 6

Battled well against Shaqiri but struggled at time to keep him under wraps.

Amir Abrashi - 5

Didn't offer anything of significance to the game.

Burim Kukeli - 5

Lively first half and created a number of chances for his side but insignificant second half.

Taulant Xhaka - 5

The quality of his deliveries varied for much of the match. Overshadowed by his brother.

Odise Roshi - 6

Should have done better with his chances on goal. Got himself into the right positions in the first 45 minutes but was too quiet in the second half.

Armando Sadiku - 7

Enjoyed a strong spell in the first half and worked hard to create chances for himself in the second half.

Ermir Lenjani - 6

A quiet first half but came to life as the game went on and threatened with some pacey runs.

Switzerland

Yann Sommer - 6

Reliable when called upon and did well to keep Switzerland's lead, especially in the first half.

Stephan Lichtsteiner - 6

Led his team well but was fortunate not to have conceded a penalty.

Fabian Schär - 6

Took his goal well but was a bit too reckless at the back at times.

Johan Djourou - 5

Caught in possession at times and looked slightly nervy.

Ricardo Rodríguez - 7

Very strong first half. Threat driving forward down the left and provided a number of dangerous balls into the box.

Valon Behrami - 5

Conceded one too many fouls.

Granit Xhaka - 7

Determined and tenacious. Provided quality passes throughout and worked hard to win the ball back.

Xherdan Shaqiri - 7

Proved very difficult to mark with his running. Great deliveries and bagged himself an assist.

Blerim Dzemaili - 6

Enjoyed a number of dangerous shots on goal.

Admir Mehmedi - 6

Solid and reliable in the middle. Did what was expected of him.

Haris Seferovic - 7

Great movement and was particularly menacing within Albania's box. Linked up well with Xhaka.
